Chapter 7 Summary

Returning Home and My Second Retreat

After coming back from my first retreat, I was jazzed. I was opening up even further and finding new experiences. Because of this I started investigating the spiritual community in Houston, Texas. I met an individual called the tooth fairy. In this seminar he taught about the process of manifestation. I followed his prescription and within a few weeks I manifested enough money to take Ed and me to the Ramtha retreat in Snow Mountain, Colorado.

Since my first retreat Ed had put up some resistance to attending the second event with me. This was not what we had agreed upon. We were going to grow together and he was reneging on his commitment. I tried to convince him of the importance of this journey together, but he refused to go. I decided that no matter what, I was going, and Ed was okay with this.

Once at the retreat an entirely new world opened for me. I began to see that everything that I had experienced was my own creation. No one was responsible for my journey, not even those that had transgressed my personal space. I was not the victim of my reality, but the master who brought experiences to me for my ownership. I also met and reactivated again past life friendships and relationships. And, it was from these meetings that I was able to make significant shifts in my life for myself and my family.

On my return from this retreat, I packed up our household and I took our children and left for Washington while Ed stayed behind to sell the house. This move was the first in a series of events that tested our marriage, our friendship, our love and our commitment to this growth together.

At a crucial moment I asked Ed,

One Saturday afternoon, he called me with all of these issues. And I said to him, "Ed you know you want to be with us and you know you want to be here. What is keeping you from coming? What is keeping you in Houston? What are you fighting? What is keeping you from this journey? This is the same issue that kept you from going to the retreats." He said, "Amber, I feel like I am stepping off a cliff and I am going to go down". Then, somewhere out of my divine consciousness came this most unusual thought and without thinking I said, "How do you know you won't go up?" All of a sudden we both started to laugh and that broke the ice. Within a week our house sold in Houston TX and by the end of August, Ed was on his journey up to Washington.
